Stolen from Hane, because this looked really cool, actually.
From various.
Pretend for a minute that the only contact you have ever had with me is through my fic. We've never exchanged LJ comments or emails, never hung out in chat or on YM, never talked on the phone or met each other in person, none of that stuff. The only thing you know about me is the kind of fic I write.
What kind of person would you think I am? How would you describe my attitudes and opinions about real-life issues? Or, to use the rephrased question:
Based on the way I write my characters, and the way they speak, think, and behave, what would that say to you about my attitudes and opinions about real-life issues?

You love the boys in blue - war gets you, because you relate to the soldiers and not the conflict itself. You like determination and strength of belief and foolhardiness for the sake of those you love.
Sometimes your writing sounds old, and at others, extremely young. There's a depth of emotion you can get out that is absolutely stunning, compelling, complex.
I think it's less about the way the characters act, and more about how you write about their actions. Because you also believe in keeping things in-character. Go you.

I'd think you believe there is a greater good, and it has to do with the maximum number of people living without fear and without oppression. I'd think you're anti-war on a very personal level, because you are very pro-soldier, pro-team, pro-brotherhood in your writing.
Your writing shows that you're a storyteller, you're all about the right imagery to capture the emotion of the moment. You've got a gift for good phrasing, but it's clear that's not your focus. Your focus is getting across "this is how this feels," which I'd assume, given my own background, meant you probably studied poetry and possibly wrote it.
I'd also think you strongly believe in the healing power of humor, and the bonding power of sharing the joke.
Funny how that works. *G*
