It's not really why I friended you, but why I've kept you as a friend that's noteworthy. I friended you because you friended me in the first few minutes of my having a livejournal. Holy CRAP was it ever worth it. I keep you 'cause you're hilariously funny and you make my brain explode with plotbunnies. You feed my obsessions and build new ones - I'm hopelessly engrossed in Elisa-Canon and it's even infected my artwork. And? Your work OWNS. ^^ Mmmyes. *hug*

Hmmmm. I....*blinks* I remember friending you. I remember it in my head like a movie, I can see myself going from your journal to the userinfo page, and getting a little nervous, which startled me, 'cause I'm normally really chill about friending/defriending/getting defriended. But I friended you anyways...

I found you through Karot...and stayed around initially 'cause of Saiyuki. You make a good unintentional tutor. ^_~ And....Hm. I remember adding you on IM. I was obscenely scared of doing it; I dunno if Karot told you or not, but I was freaking out 'cause I didn't wanna look all stalkery or like I was friending you for fandom reasons instead of because of your personality. And I didn't have much to talk about with you at the time. No, wait: I didn't *think* we had much to talk about.

And....Hm. I wish I could remember what put me over the edge and made me *decide* to friend you on LJ instead of just watch your fic. I know, at least, that it was a RL thing. I have plenty of good authors to follow, and don't have time to take on every new one I find. So I wouldn't have friended you for your work, even though it is worthy. It was 'cause I realized we had RL similiarities. But which, specifically, I can't for the life of me remember.

As for why I keep you around? Your writing. To bug you about your profusion of GIPs. 'Cause Karot would whup my ass if I defriended you. *smiles* No, seriously. 'Cause you rock in about a zillion ways. Some of the littlest have to do with Hello! conversations, the file room wars, Easter candy year-round, and latenight multitasking conversations. ^_^

And some of the biggest have to do with those scary capitalized words like Fear and Love and Plan; and with the sometimes-lack of a continent between us; and with the realization of my longtime wish for a big sister. Frankly, Rune? I keep you friended 'cause that keeps me in touch with you, both of us being LJ bitches through and through. If the medium of choice were email, I'd have you on my short list. If AIM, you'd set off an alert when you came online (actually? You do that now. XD). And if postal mail, I'd buy the fun stamps. In short, whatever medium I met you through, I'd do what it took to stay in contact. So maybe the point here isn't that I keep you *LJ* friended for the reasons I listed...the point is that I want you to be my friend, unqualified, for the reasons I listed. *snuggles* I think it's fair to say "I love you," at this point. I mean it, after all. Just make sure you really hear me.

You're on my flist because you're CUTE! Okay, seriously now, I'm pretty sure I friended you becuale I was bowled over by your drabbles on 100_roadtrips and because your userinfo said I could. Multifandom bouncy fangirling, shiny icons and hilarious RL reports came later and I love every minute of it, but most importantly I keep you friended because I consider you a friend and like to keep tabs on you. Mwahaha.
