I type this from Gus, the roommate's computer. I think that says something.
Diego bit the big one today and so for the next 7-10 days I'll be internet-less at home. I'll probably be able to check email at some point over the weekend, but otherwise, look for a pretty drastic cutback.
This means those of you close enough to visit actually have to come hang out with me in person. So there.
The only up side to all of this is that the repairs are free. A new logic-board and Diego should be good to go again. The downside? They told me I could loose everything in the repair so I finally had to buy that external drive I've been talking about for so long. But that means I just spent $200 I really couldn't afford to. I'm not going to be able to go grocery shopping again until two weeks from today. Chances are I'll swing by my parent's some time this weekend and raid their food stores. That should keep me for a while. And I've always got lots of ramen.
Is it pathetic that I just want to cry about this? And, not that I don't love you all, but it's not even the lack of lj or internet that kills me. It's that I have no where to type. Sure, I write stuff out by hand, but I just can't do that fast enough to keep up with my brain and I loose things. Already I can feel this creeping anxiety that I know is just going to get worse until I get my computer back. Uguh. People with serious creative issues should not be forced to give up their main form of expression cold turkey.
If I owe you beta, I'm sorry and I'll get it to you as soon as I can. Yes, I did remember to save them on the extra drive, don't worry. If you owe me beta, you might as well give up because I'll loose my steam and the story will die and everything will be over. No, I'm not projecting random negativity just because I miss my stupid iBook already, why do you ask?
Alright, I'm either going to go and watch tv or clean my room. Okay, no "or", I'm just going to go watch tv.
ETA: ...How am I supposed to do job search stuff with no computer?
ETA II: The one bright spot in tonight is right here.
karotsamused wrote me Roy/Ed Jellybean fic. I fully intend to take up the challenge. BWahahaAHAHahah!

Can't you job search from work, as well? Since they know anyway.
Hey, it will all be cool! The story will wait and crystallize in your head, and think of all the extra sleep you can get now!
We'll miss you though. So, fingers crossed, hopefully this will not take long! Mmm, ramen... (contemplates baking some cookies and mailing them over)
