Apparently I show my love for my Kenmuse by torturing him...Awww...poor boy just needs a hug.

Title: Role Model
Author: Rune
Word Count: 100
Characters: Ken
Notes: Beta'd by [livejournal.com profile] ranalore.

They call him Coach. They ask questions about everything, soccer, how to run faster, why he’s so strong. He tells them, “Practice hard,” and “Get lots of sleep,” and “Eat your vegetables.” He tries to give them good advice, says again what their parents have, “Do unto others,” and “Don’t play with fire,” and “Beware of strangers.” He tells them to stick by their friends; when they fight he makes them apologize, shake hands. They tell him they want to be just like him when they grow up. He wants to ask them if they’ve heard a word he’s said.

(falls over laughing. Gets an annoyed look from Hakkai, who sympathizes, and does it anyway)

This is a smart piece, actually.

*grins* Hakkai would sympathize, wouldn't he? 'Sides, I will make you recognize the Ken love, I will.

Great drabble. The goodness just keeps coming... *basks while it lasts*
Also, this got me thinking about the proper stereotyping. If Aya and Sanzo are the solitary, brittle ones, and Yohji and Gojyo are the lonely, needy ones, and Omi and Goku are the innocent, amnesiac ones... what does it make Ken and Hakkai? The nice, scary ones?

XD Though, this only works if you count from after the OVA's because, let me say again, they broke him. *cuddles Kenmuse*

...say, why don't YOU write any WK?

Well, then, dude! What do I have to do to get you translate a bit? Or to write more in English?

...you wanted fluff right? I CAN do fluff. *grins* We can work on some kind of fanfic barter system, right?

^____^ Oooh, tempting. Tempting...
*eyes her list of commitments*
Maybe we should start small, with what we're doing anyway? I really want to read some Hollow Men, and I kinda hope you won't hate my reinc Saiyuki thingie, which is at 13,000 words now and so far from over. As for my WK, well, I don't have anything worth the effort of traslating yet. And if I ever embark on the translating-into-English mission (which I have never done), I already know what will it be. It's by this girl from Kiev, mad brilliant stuff, Aya/Ken. Maybe one day.
I don't think I'm writing any WK in English any time soon, as I'm on this quest of getting Aya and Schuldig in bed in manga canon. So far it took 17,000 words (would be about 22,000 in English since we don't have articles and compound verbs) and going completely alternative timeline anime-wise to stop the murderous rage and get them talking. Have you read the manga?

Well, Hollow Men is coming along in fits and starts. There's a bit more of the actual story that's been written today. I'm going to be out of town for a week starting Weds night, but that does mean 6 or 7 hours traveling with nothing to do but write, so hopefully I'll be able to get more done. I really, REALLY want to get started on my Yami/WK crossover, but I'm not allowed to until I finish the roadtrip fic, so, yeah. Heh.

And dude, good Aya/Ken -- or well, good Ken period -- has been really hard to find. Can you rec any stuff in English?

I haven't read the WK manga yet. I've got the translations bookmarked, but just haven't gotten around to it. My patience level when it comes to reading manga in non-book form is not so much. I always have to work my way up to it. But Rana says it's worthwhile. You agree I assume *G*.
