That stupid wireless thing is never coming. I will have -- just got off the phone with SBC in fact -- dial-up in the apt. by Monday night. Not great for downloads, but I'll be able to chat and check the flist and do email, so I should be good for a while. Big things can be take care of with a quick trip to the 'rents. God, I'm glad to have this whole drama over with.

Saiyuki
Hakkai/Sanzo. Window. Scene. Really though, there's something about the way Sanzo is with Hakkai that appeals to me. There's an openness and trust there that he doesn't really display with the others. I feel like there's been less good stuff in this pairing lately, but I refuse to give up hope.

Hakkai/Gojyo. The pull is similar, but the need is different. They do warm and fuzzy better than other pairings, but really, they angst so well together. I do have days though, when I wonder how good they really are for each other. Enablers, the both of them.

Kou/anyone. There just isn't enough good Kou fic period. I don't like him with Nii, but I'll read it, just for the Kou aspect. He and Doku are brilliant together, but he and Yaone make one of the few potentially excellent het couples in this canon. I really am going to start slashing him with all kinds of people though. Because damn it, that boy needs love.

Yami no Matsui
Hisoka/Tsuzuki. They are both so broken and need each other so much. The same way I see Hakkai and Gojyo though, there are moments when I wonder if there might not be other people out there who would make healthier choices for either one of these boys.

Hisoka/Tatsumi. A pairing love I blame on Rana. It's hard to explain, but she called it and it's true. Especially should something happen to Tsuzuki, Tatsumi is only one I'd trust to pick up the pieces of Hisoka.

GetBackers
Kazuki/anyone. My favorite pretty boy. Ever. He's gorgeous and warm, and so princely. I've seen him paired with all kinds of people, though, my favorite crack pairing so far has to be him with Ban. They would kill each other. Except that they might make each other really happy too.

Ban/Ginji. Dude, most canon fluff pairing ever. They're so married it's not even funny. Not much more to say about this one really.

Weiss Kruez
Ken/anyone. The boy needs love! Someone love him! I'm particularly fond of him with Aya, just because someone the opposite natures of their personalities makes me think they could potentially be really good for each other.

X-Men (comics)
Bobby/anyone. For all that I have a soft spot in my heart for Remy, Bobby tugs at me the same way Ken does. So broken and scared, and surrounded by a team of people who have no clue. Every time I find a fic where he gets to be a little bit happy, I'm happy. Though, well done angst thrown into the mix is always welcome. Wouldn't be the X-fandome without it.

One Piece
Sanji/Zolo. Despite the fact that I'm just beginning to get into this fandom, I can't help but feel I need to find more with these two in it. From the very first time you see them together it's hard not see the attraction. BoyCrush at first, maybe, but it's definitely a ship I can see sailing with for a while.


What these pairings say about me...

Firstly, that I love happy endings after a long day of angst. But not even angst really, melancholy. That, however, is rant for another day.

Secondly, that I love it when best friends fall in love. It's real, and understated and less about the falling and more about the growing into.

Thirdly, I'll write anything if the bunny bites. It's a good thing that this list doesn't include all the cross fandom pairings I could make here, 'cause then I'd never be done.

XD What these pairings say about you: Well, one, you love pretty things.
Then, of course, there is the pleasure of requited friendlust, in which a gorgeous relationship becomes deeper, and that's a beautiful thing. At the end of a long day, all you really need for big warm fuzzies is a fluffy couple of good friends snogging each others' brains out. It is the quintessential happy ending.
It makes you a hell of a romantic, you know.
Finally, there's the element of the deserving receiving. Most obviously given in the Ken/anyone pairing, but there are hints of it in lots of other places too. That, well, that brings up your sympathy/empathy glands, your innate sense of cosmic justice, your love for fellow man-on-man.
Which also makes you romantic.
And that's prettymuch just what you need XD

What these say about you? Well, based on the ones that I'm familiar with, I'd say that in addition to the friendlust angle, you're also one for real chemistry over mindless smut for prettyness' sake. Certainly, the pretty factors in; but it's probably much hotter for you if they *click*.

It says - okay, don't hit me, - that you're a sweet, kind soul. You want everyone to be happy, loved and emotionally stable. And you're so right. Those guys get tortured enough by the canon; seeing them happy is not only waff, but a radical change, too! Oh, and yes, second the Kazuki love, only I'd leave Ban for Ginji. Kazuki has those two bodyguards to keep content ^_~, plus there's something cool between him and Shido I can't quite put my finger on...
