Be an attetion whore...

Okay, so I'm a total feedback whore. I admit it. I'm also a compulsive gift-giver, which is harder to do on lj, so, Solution: (stolen from all over the place)
Comment on this post and I'll write something I value in you, like about you, like about your journal, or something positive I think you need to hear about yourself*.
*There are a few of you out there who I know won't comment, so don't make just say nice things about you randomly on my journal to embarrass you. Comment!

Oh, pick me, pick me!

Date: 2005-03-10 04:29 am (UTC)And actually, the stories of office life make me smile more than a lot of other things on my flist. It's always nice to know that someone else out there is loosing their mind in front a computer somewhere. And not for fun either!
'Sides, the reviews you write up of stuff are helpful, and always make me curious to see more about what you're reviewing, even when I don't know if I like it XD
Re: Oh, pick me, pick me!
Date: 2005-03-10 04:14 pm (UTC)usotsuki, but you are sweet. ;)
I like other people's reviews of stuff too. It's interesting to see what other people are watching, reading, looking at... I discover all sorts of interesting new things.
Re: Oh, pick me, pick me!
Date: 2005-03-10 11:48 pm (UTC)See, one more think I think makes me stoked to have you on my flist -- I never know what cool new thing you'll have been brave enough to try (Heh, 'cause bad anime is scary) and then share with the rest of us.

Date: 2005-03-10 04:38 am (UTC)*grins* So refreshing to see someone who's not scared to be excited by the things they find around them. So many people today think that apathy is the way to go, but you're not scared to to be happy, to be excited, and it's refreshing. And fun, very much fun *grins, happy*

Date: 2005-03-10 06:12 am (UTC)Motto from Rune's college days:
What we lack in talent we make up for in enthusiasm.
*grins* Not saying you lack talent, just that I appreciate the enthusiasm.

Date: 2005-03-10 08:10 pm (UTC)That IS my motto. One of them.
And these ARE my college days. >_> Alright, where's the cameras??
XD XD XD
My other motto, for your curiosity: "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, therefore, is not an act but a habit." ~Aristotle

Date: 2005-03-11 12:37 am (UTC)...ahem. Well, I'm taking this as your comment and going with it.
A List:
1) You listen to me cook dinner. Heh. You do this a lot.
2) You are an incredible writer. Oh, I fangirled you long before I actually knew you. You just keep getting better too. The fact that you aren't just willing to settle for "pretty good," but want "best possible," and get it...My admiration for your ability to get stuff done no matter how busy you are is immense. Bigger than that, HUGE. Heh.
3) The way you laugh. Makes me happy. That is all.
4) You humour me, but call me on important stuff. But you have yet to kick me to the curb despite my spastic default state and bad spelling. It is much appreciated XD
5) You've got my back. And you let me know this. All the time in fact. 'S means a lot. And just so ya know -- I've got yours too.

Date: 2005-03-09 09:17 pm (UTC)There. I dare you to say something nice after that. Also, I keep running across more music that I'm like, "Dude, I can't believe I haven't played this for her yet!!!"
::flashes the Beautiful Gun just for you::

Date: 2005-03-10 05:00 am (UTC)1. You're really funny. Like make me snort funny.
2. You have amazing taste in music. Like eat my brain taste in music.
3. You're generous like most people wouldn't even dream of being.
4. You let me babble like I know what I'm talking about it.
5. You beta in a way that makes me better writer, not just that one piece is better.
And of course, you make my weekends so much more fun. *glomphugs*

Date: 2005-03-12 01:38 am (UTC)And what, nothing about what a brilliant writer I am? *sniffs disdainfully*Also, how humble I am?

Date: 2005-03-10 05:10 am (UTC)BUT, I'm not going to let that stop me from giving you more good words.
You have this way of making me think about things. Like, I make a random blanket statement and you question it. You question things in a way that's thought provoking and makes me think harder, better. I always feel smarter after I talk to you, like by actually having to USE my brain I'm better for it.

Date: 2005-03-10 05:10 am (UTC)Ammguh. Much love for the idea. I'd actually never seen it before - does that make me naive or just a bad lj-er? XD
Anywho you must know I'm so yoinking this for my next post and you honestly don't have to say anything in response to this comment 'cause just the idea makes me warm and fuzzy. I get to shamelessly fangirl people who respond! Woo!

Date: 2005-03-10 05:38 am (UTC)You get a list too:
1) Breakroom. That in and of itself is a number. It's that good.
2) Breakroom. You make me want to be a better writer. I read the way you write those characters and it changes the way I think about them. Changes the way that I write all my characters. Probably always will.
3) You write memes that make me happy. You help me waste time in the most fun way possible.
4) You respond to my posts. Sometimes that's all it takes to make me grin like a total idiot.
5) You're smart. I don't know of many other people your age who are as well read as you are, or as willing share that intelligence with others. The talent that you have is incredible, but it's make that much more impressive by the way you use it.
*glomps* You're one of the biggest reasons I'm in the Saiyuki fandom at all. Consequently, you're one of the reasons I'm involved with any fandom at all. It's something I've wanted to tell you for a long time. So, there you have it. I'll always be...well, grateful sounds funny, but it's true. I'll be grateful for that always. *HUGS*

Date: 2005-03-10 05:45 am (UTC)*HUG!!*
You're really such a terrible person. I think I'll take credit for maybe numbers 3 and 4 XD
I am so tempted to just spam my own LJ so I can fangirl you back with an excuse that will be bought by the masses. Because otherwise I'll completely spill my guts right in this reply and that's not good enough by *far*.

Date: 2005-03-10 06:18 am (UTC)Seriously, I don't know that you realized what an incredible writer you really are. Clever and thought provoking and -- most importantly, really -- you actually write. And you make other people write. I can't wait to see what you end up DOING with all of this talent.
*glomps again for good measure*

Date: 2005-03-11 02:03 am (UTC)...And I just posted.
...This is a damn Catch-22 and you know it.
(no subject)
Date: 2005-03-11 06:00 am (UTC)List (part 1):
1) You write some of the most heart tugging fic I've ever read. Really. Just get me here.
2) You remind me of my kid sister, Bear. And I mean that in a good way. You have that same, "Oh God I'm going to strangle her, but if anyone else lays a hand on her I'll tear their heart out through their nose," quality that makes the big sister in me go, "AWww...Noogie!"
3) In spite of the craziness that happens in your life you keep on going. You may get discouraged, but you keep on going.
4) You write. You write a lot. I can't help but be infinitely jealous of those people who are able to make themselves write. And even if I've mentioned this before, it doesn't make it any less true.
*HugsSoHard*
compulsive giver, heh?

Date: 2005-03-16 08:39 am (UTC)Really though, you're another one of the big reasons I'm IN fandom. You have a way of sharing your excitement with everyone around you that's just encouraging. Like the fact that you and I found Snowy at around the same time, but that I know a huge part of why she's here is because you made her feel great. And every time I get a compliment from they make me feel so good because they're so thoughtful. You read people's work with care and attention to detail, and it shows. It shows in the way you write yourself (God. So. Good.) and the way you comment on other's work.
*glomps* You're brilliant, and witty and just fun. You make time for the good things in fandom even though you're wicked busy, and you still make the rest of us feel loved. I'd just like you know, we love you back.
