Lifted from...everyone.

10 things I did that maybe you didn't

Meme gacked from everyone and their uncle.

1. I fell off a balance beam and cut my head open.
(I was four. Now I have a fun scar. If I ever go missing they’ll mention it.)

2. I spent 12hrs outside a movie theatre waiting for the LOTR.
(I was a TOR.n line leader. Way to be Super Geek, me.)

3. I slept for 5 hours on the floor of the Mexico City international airport.
(I would have slept for longer but a big man with a gun made me get up and move over.)

4. I was named after a coffee mug my parents found in Spain.
(They name my sister after themselves, but Nooooooo, I get named after a random ceramic. Heh. Go mom and dad.)

5. I was hit by bus.
(In Oaxaca. It’s the one story I tell everyone.)

6. I still don’t have any credit cards.

7. I’ve never had a drop of alcohol. Ever.
(Seriously. My family has never done well with drinking, so I’ve never felt the need to start.)

8. I have jumpstarted cars in four different major cities.
(Leaving the lights on is my one major failing as a driver.)

9. I let my mom name our dog after an Aztec god of rain.
(Tlaloc. You try saying that three times fast.)

10. I moved to Mexico for four months and lived on the beach.
(Okay, so really, I was in a house, but still. It was only a block away.)

No alcohol here. Partly religion, partly alcoholism runs in the family.

Also, have jump-started cars in...hmm, at least six cities. My old car used to have a sign taped to the steering wheel that said, "TURN OFF THE LIGHTS!!!" I kid you not. My new car turns its own lights on and off. That was one of the features I was adamant about.

One day I too will have a car that does that. *day-dreamy* One day...

You will! It's a standard feature on most of them these days, I think.

I want a station wagon. Does that make me one of the uber nerdy? I don't really care though. I've wanted a station wagon for AGES.

Dude, I have an SUV. It only pretends it's not a station wagon.

Heheh.

And SUV is like a station wagon that lifts weights just so the trucks won't pick on it any more.

(Final proof I watch too much Law and Order: read your comment and my first thought was, "Well, yeah, I guess a car could be a 'special victim' if you think of gas prices like rape..." *facepalm of amusement with self* I'm such a dork.)

If gas prices are like rape, then it's all the drivers who are "special victims." *G*

Dude, you want to talk dorkitude, today I dropped "Requiem" in the return mail to Netflix, and I swear I'm going through withdrawal. It's a good thing I get paid tomorrow and I got more of the second season from them in today's mail. I might crack otherwise. I wonder if Amazon offers overnight delivery.... *G*

See, here's my problem...I got paid TODAY, and my one thought was that the $25 I spent on gas was a total waste because that's a WHOLE DVD. Heh.

Also, got email from NetFlix today -- WK will be here on Weds. Wicked. Can Sunday work for you? I'm house sitting (I'd totally forgotten until today on Fri. and Sat, so if Sunday afternoon is okay...?

::cracks up:: Dude, I always think like that when pumping gas!

Hmm, Senor and I might be going out on Sunday, but I can check. If we can't do it this weekend, what does the next Saturday look like for you? Oh, yeah, and I better advertise on [livejournal.com profile] sandiegoslash for the next Great Fannish Dining Experience.
