Ha Ha 5:45am TMI.

Medical poll 'cause it's too early to call and worry my mom like I just did my girlfriend.

Hmph.

[Poll #912367]

Blood in urine is not necessarily (in fact, not likely) related to female organs. Still, a gynecologist could check it out for you while checking other things. When's the appointment?

Appointment tomorrow. Rar.

I just hope that she'll have time in her schedule to actually see about the testing or whatever. That and the fact that I'm not sure I have the money right now to afford another test. Hmph.

*hugs* Best thing to do is to remain calm, because producing and processing adrenaline can be aggravating for the kidneys, and you don't want that right now. Get cuddles! This can be a result of a minor trauma and/or inflammation, and it might go away in a couple of days, but you'd still want some painkillers/antibiotics/anti-inflammatories or whatever, like one would for a sprained wrist, so I'd say definitely go to the doctor. The gyno - or any doctor - can do a basic check, but this is really a job for the urologist. S/he will want to rule out all the scary stuff, that's routine. That might include urine tests and a couple of x-rays. If those don't turn up anything conclusive, the doc might suggest CAT scan or, um, taking a direct look with a micro camera. But that's only if it doesn't go away by then. I'd also say no to coffee, alcohol, vinegar and spicy food for the time being, just to make it easier on the kidneys while they seem to be sruggling.
*hugs more* hope you're better soon!

Hope you've got an appointment/been to the doctor, because that's exactly how my first bladder infection started. The searing pain took about 12 hours more before it hit. Fortunately after that, the pain took up the roll of herald, so I knew exactly what was up. (I'm guessing your diaphragm isn't the cause. Advantage #6 to having a girlfriend. I was so dumb!)

The good news, if it is a bladder infection, you will feel *much* better by the time you take your second dose of antibiotics.

It just so happens that I have an appointment for an ultrasound at the girly-bits doctor tomorrow. The question becomes whether or not there will actually be time for her to do a test. Maybe she'll just write a prescription. Who knows.

But if it's just a prescription, then can I just take more of the antibiotics I've already got? Or what about if she doesn't have time to do anything for me? I can't afford another doctor's visit, especially with having to find another doctor, so maybe just taking antibiotics on my own is the best bet. It's all just so impossibly frustrating. *sigh*
