Is it unreasonable to say that I come to work and feel physically ill?

As in, I woke up this morning, tired but certainly not sick, and drove to work. I've been here perhaps an hour and I'm starting to feel rather sick to my stomach and light headed. There's a vent right over my desk, maybe that's it...

In any case, it seem strange to say anything (nothing says "slacker" quite as loudly as the claim that you're allergic to work) but then again if this keeps happening, I might have to.

In the mean time I'm going to see if eating something doesn't help. Toast maybe. And tea.

...hmph. So strange...

It's not unreasonable. There may be mold in the filters or in the walls. If you have a health and safety rep, ask about when the vent filters were last changed, maybe? Environmental allergens are all too common these days -- it could even be something they're using to clean or dust in the carpets if they haven't been vacuumed regularly.

It's not a matter of being allergic to *work* so much as allergic to the *workplace*.

Health and safety rep... heh. I think it might be me. *snort*

Also, I work upstairs from a factory, which might have something to do with it, but... well, I feel better today, so maybe it's something more like general allergies to the area? There's a lot more random plant life around here. Hmm...

May have to invest in sudafed after all. Hmph.

Thanks for advice though. Because, really, I don't think I can be the only one. *nod*

In my workplace it's a fact of life. Everybody's allergic to the place. And if the mold in the lack-of-ventilation-system wasn't enough, there's this magical device under the unit door that, as you step over it, sucks all your energy out through your feet and instills it into exactly the kids you wish it wouldn't.

Try Airborne. Or oranges. Those work, too.

I'd argue the point with you, but sadly, I'm fairly certain you're right. *wrrrrry*

And... oranges? I assume you mean for eating as opposed to... I'm not really sure what? Stuffed with cloves? HEH. Man, the old school crafts projects never really leave you, do they? XD
