Date: 2006-06-17 03:26 am (UTC)Came home, took a sort-nap and my fever broke after a couple hours. Just got out of the shower and feel mostly human again. Gonna eat something and then I'll be totally fine. *nod*

Date: 2006-06-17 09:29 pm (UTC)I'm totally with you on the last bit, geeze!
Things are lookin' up though, and I'm going to a family dinner tonight for tacos so all will soon be right with the world. Woot!

Date: 2006-06-17 09:43 pm (UTC)I've been wanting to make tacos for like a month but I have too much reading to do to have time to cook. Even using the preformed shells. So, I repeat,

Date: 2006-06-17 09:57 pm (UTC)How is all that crazy work going anyway? How many classes and all that?
(no subject)
Date: 2006-06-17 10:30 pm (UTC)2 grad-level classes, at 3/4work X 1/2duration. I have two papers electronically due tomorrow. One was due last week and I've just aquired the subject to do the interview it's supposed to be based on with. The other I'm halfway through the reading for. This is discounting the other paper that was due last week that I am *also* halfway through the *considerably more substantial* reading for. This is not my fault; she rejected my initial list of resources plus I had to go to an out of state wedding and got carsick and normal-sick. And then *next* week I have to do another interview-and-paper and a paper on a whole book.
So this is why I don't exist and have spent more money on premade food in the last month than the previous three and resorted to 'energy drinks' because coke provides an insufficiant infusion of substitute ritalin.
And then after Independance day it starts again with two more classes. And someone I trust at work told me to outright quit if I value my sanity. Also, my job let me be absent for the classes but wouldn't call it a leave of absence so I have no health insurance if I don't want to pay $500 a month for COBRA. Which is what I just paid because the potholes in my commute broke my car's muffler pipe. (tears hair and yowls)

Date: 2006-06-17 11:02 pm (UTC)But but but! When did you get with the driving?
Are the classes at least interesting? I mean, all that reading has to suck even more if it's not any good. *nod nod*

Date: 2006-06-17 11:31 pm (UTC)I had to; it's a ten-mile commute to school (which translates into AN HOUR with traffic!!!) and the public-transit is even more inconvenient, so I've had my licence about two months now. Naturally the photo is for shite.
The classes are awesome, especially the one where the teacher mostly skulks in the back of the room and if we make him talk he goes all reluctant or tells corny anecdotes and we have huge arguments about whether kids need teachers or not. The reading is *good*, there's just too *much* of it. To the point where I currently *cannot read fanfics because my eyes are crossing.* *Fanfics.* Fanfics I have *read before.* !!!!!

Date: 2006-06-18 05:18 am (UTC)So, wait, wait, which major are you going with? Are you still looking into the psychology stuff? 'Cause that'd be awesome. *G*

Date: 2006-06-18 12:38 pm (UTC)Geez, I still don't know. Psych is fascinating and pays better in this stupid country and I've sunk three years into it, but the insurance companies don't let you do it right and I got good experience out of those years regardless and teaching is a lot more fun. (frets)
Oh, hey, I went to evolvefish.com and got bumper stickers! ^______^

Date: 2006-06-18 08:15 pm (UTC)...actually. It's kind of official, but I have you to post anything, not wanting to jinx it or whatever, but ye olde car is going to be sold some time soonish to be used as the downpayment on something NEW. *wiggle* Hee! We're looking at the Yaris (toyota) or possibly a used civic, but it'll all depend on what's around when we actually get this started. Eeesh. Just thinking about it makes me both incredibly stoked and stressed like a super stressed thing.
OOohh... teaching? Really? At the college level or younger? Seriously, that could way cool. And would it be psych you'd want to teach or just teaching in general?
