Has anyone else's lj disapeared today? Alright, so maybe if yours is gone right now you wouldn't see this anyway, but still. Mine has. And it's not like lj itself has gone 'splodey, but just my journal. I can even log in and see the my lj thing and all of that, it's just my journal itself that won't load.

We've been messing around with the layout so maybe that's it... if I make changes it erases everything doesn't it? Hmm..


Anyone out there have a suggestion?

it wasn't loading for several people last night when i was asking for coding help, and karot's has been slow to load the picture for me too. i think it's just the image servers; if you can still use it okay, give it a bit before taking action against the graphics.

Rana suggested that we try for the basic layout again until they're done with this weird "improving" of things and then try again with the graphics and whatnot.

Do you remember exactly what it was that you did to get it to load in the first place?

and initially, it was an issue of transparency to show the photo; once shown, i padded the text to make it slide down and show the whole header.

Ooohh..... so I bet that's it. See, my real problem is the fact that now the text is spaced strangely, narrow and hard to read.

Should we maybe try with Flexible Squares so that we know we're working with a layout made to accommodate graphics? I know you've been excellent in trying to make the sidebar work, but at this point I'd rather have a graphic and text blocks I like than a side bar. And even Flexible Squares allows for links on the side, and that's really the main thing I was after.

Try deleting all your LJ cookies and then resynching your computer's time. I was experiencing timeouts every time I tried to load my flist until I did this. (I also had to download a freeware time-sync program (http://www.oneguycoding.com/automachron/) since I can't sync on demand, as I'm at work. You probably won't have to do this though.)
