Have just finished mainlining the whole of Weiss Kreuz: Gluhen with ranalore.


Oh. My. God.


Starting at about episode eight -- all episodes before this point can be summed up in three letters. W, T and F -- it the plot started to maybe pretend to ride the logic trolley, at by ten I realized why it was that I cared about these boys and the last episode. Oh, the last episode left me in tears.

My BOYS. *flail!*

The chances of a coherent review or opinion are roughly zero, but I can say the following:

1) KEN!
2) Dude, Crashers? "They blow shit up, so you don't have to."
3) Youji, you had me worried for a while their buddy, but, I never should have doubted you.
4) Omi, Omi, Omi. I hate to break it to you kiddo, but Aya's just not interested. Also? Your Grandpa sucks eggs.
5) KEN! And Aya! And the airport and the "I'll hold him while you--" *puddle of wibble*
6) No one makes a better entrance than Schwarz. Nobody.
7) The Omi wannabe had to die. His rent-boy costume didn't match the rest of the team.
8) Youji, I hate your hat.
9) ...did anyone else notice that the Crashers had a Hakkai?
10) ...Okay, yeah. It's still Ken. Man does that boy ever need a hug. Preferably from Aya.

Dude, when the first ep ended I turned to Rana and said, "Well... that was totally pointless."

It was kinda like all the way up until like ep six. Really though, the very end (and Crashers) make it pretty worth it. *G* I'd recomend watching it with a friend though, 'cause the larges does of WTF are easier to handle when you can snark in good company.

Also, Youji's hat really is terrible. Really.

It's one of the things I was holding to as a reward for making it all the way through, but the screencaps just don't do it justice. It's the way he moves, the way his eyes glitter half-lidded, the quiet of his voice and his isolation and his deadliness. He's just beautiful.

Also? Rune and I are convinced Todo was a spliced clone of Aya-chan and Nagi, which would explain his hotness and his power.

Rune can tell you, I was so squeeful in that episode. Crashers! Schuldig and Crawford! Aya cuts his hair! I loathed the braid. And then Nagi came and I almost exploded from joy. I didn't even care that Schuldig looked terrible and Crawford looked worse. My boys! Crashers! Really, I want to kidnap Crashers. More boys to play with.

At first, Todo annoyed me. Then he started to get really sneaky, and I loved him. Then he found out what he was and I just about cried. Sena was the one who annoyed me. I could not wait for that kid to die. And Tsuji or whatever her name was. Even if she hadn't been a bad guy, I would have loved someone to kill her. She drove me up the wall. Only good thing she did was kill Asami.

But all that aside, Nagi made me squee every time he was on screen. Squee and cry, because he looked like he wanted to and wouldn't let himself, especially when he killed that sniper. None of Schwarz looked any better off than Weiss, really, and that is a sad, sad thing.
