Because I currently have Weiss on the brain and while I should go out and be a normal young person, I'm tired and posting drabbles instead.

Today the Tokyo Bureau for Missing and Exploited Children received the largest monetary gift in its history. The donation is anonymous.

Today a girl in the Tokyo Police Hospital was moved to a private facility. She’ll awaken in 4 months with no memory. It won’t be recovered.

Today Tokyo University established a soccer scholarship. All recipients will receive regular random drug testing.

Today a Tokyo PI received an envelope containing a check for several hundred million yen, four encoded disks and instructions to begin by investigating the murder of a woman three years earlier. His findings will rock the country.

I've seen the first ten or so episodes of Weiss, and have listened to enough people talk about it that I can follow most fics without a problem. I might get deeper into someday, but at the moment I'm also so enthralled with my current pretty shiny fandoms that I'm not tempted to look for new ones.

But fic like this almost makes me reconsider.

Canon: Monkey D. Luffy is the man who is going to be the Pirate King. He is also the Rubber Man, having eaten the Rubber Devil’s Fruit (the Gomu Gomu Fruit) when he was a kid, so now he can stretch his body like…well…rubber. As Captain of the good ship Going Merry, he sails around the Grand Line (the Graveyard of Pirates, as it is known to some) in search of One Piece, which will make him the Pirate King. He’s the definition of hyperactive, loves meat (well, food in general, but has a special soft spot for meat), has no sense of direction, and is hopelessly unobservant. He will literally kill for his nakama (shipmates), selflessly giving them his all. The same is true in any situation where he sees wrong being done. HE WILL BE THE PIRATE KING!

Wow! What an interesting place! How did I get here? All I know is that I was exploring interesting island and then I was on a bus with strange people…

I think it’s somewhere on the Grand Line, but Nami isn’t here to tell me if it is, and everyone I ask gives me a weird look and then ask if I’m a zombie. What is a zombie, anyway? And why do they laugh strangely and say “You’ll find out. Oh, yes, you will find out.” There are some people around here who are even stranger! They ignore me most of the time, and even when I use my Gomu Gomu no Pistol, they pick themselves up and keep walking around drooling and moaning. Huh. Must be Mystery People.

Usopp is here! I knew I was on the Grand Line! But why did he start crying and wailing that we’ll never get free when I said that? Eh, another Mystery.

They put me into this cabin that smells funny, but I get a bed and not a hammock. Which is nice. Although the other people in my cabin threatened to feed me to the zombies because they said I kept shouting “I will be Pirate King!” in my sleep. Well I am going to be the Pirate King! Oh, it’s the Mystery People again. Wait, why are my cabin nakama are trying to throw me out the door?

That was interesting. My cabin nakama threw me into the lake. Obviously I was a stone in the water, but someone pulled me out with a pole…a little kid who apologized for everything. He said that we’re here to fight zombies and solve a murder mystery (oooh, a Mystery!), not to throw each other into the lake with the crocodiles.

Oh, there were crocodiles there…but they weren’t bananas like the ones at Crocodile’s place…CROCODILE! He’s here, isn’t he?! CROCODIIIIIIIIIILE!!! Where are you? I WILL KICK YOUR ASS FOR…
I smell food.

Oh, wow! Thanks for the offer, but I already have all of them. Well, all of the first series. I've just been too caught up in other things to watch them.
