Lame-o.

I have a headache. I haven't slept well in days and now my neck is all tense. I'm hungry, my bangs keep getting in my eyes and I'm behind in my work. All I want is a nap, and for the internet to work on my computer, but it doesn't look like either of those are going to happen any time soon. I have things to look forward to this week, but my ADD and anxiety attacks are making it hard to focus. Nerves and exhaustion are starting to take their toll. I want my friends to be okay. God, I want my friends to be okay. Yesterday was good, but worrying about tomorrow is making today more draining than it should be. I think I'll be fine if only I can get a decent sleep tonight. There doesn't even have to be a lot of it, I just want it to actually be restful.

[livejournal.com profile] wildelamassu is a brilliant fabulous person. She sent me Reload for my birthday. *cue much sqee* I've gone through the first three eps. so far and have the following reactions (for Rana as well):

Gojyo's new jacket = Woot. Also dig his new pants. MUCH more flattering. Heh.
Hakkai's shirt = Boo. I'm with Night on this one; there must be a tear or something he can't fix, 'cause otherwise there's no reason for it.
Sanzo's boots = Kickin'. (heh) They just seem so much more practical than the sandals ever were. Especially with the toe socks.
Goku's pants = Meh. Poor boy, Hakkai's fallin' down on the job if he's letting him run around with those ragged hems. Though, if he's just a growing boy it kinda makes sense 'cause it looks like he got Gojyo's old boots. Hand-me-downs in East. Heh.
Opening theme = Don't like it quite as much as the previous two. I'm sure it'll grow on me. Do dig the closing song though.
Kou = Wha'? Looks like someone make the poor kid take steroids and then dress up in a leather bathrobe. His arms look too big and it makes his head look weird and small. His neck also go thicker and it's like he's trying for some ill-conceived jock look when, really, we all know he's pretty and delicate and still kicks ass in spite of that. *sighs and pets old Kou* I want his black leather back.
Overall = It looks pretty good. Thank the good Lord they fixed Gojyo's hair, though, it looks kinda like he got a trim to go with it. I understand there's just more goodness to come, so I'll probably do this again once I've made through a few more episodes. Woot.

[Edit: Ate a fruit cup and feel a bit better, so now I'm going to shamelessly beg for people to write me porn to take the rest of my headache away. Preferably Saiyuki or Yami porn. If you don't my Gojyo muse is gonna make me do it and I'm a work. Come on, you know you want to.]

What got to me most about Gojyo's hair was that they always talked about it being the colour of blood, and from what I saw no one on the show ever bled that colour, so I was wondering who's blood exactly they were talking about. In the end the only reasonable group of pink-bleeders were Mary Sues or Klingons (who actually bleed what looks like purple-pink yogurt), which makes it no wonder that everyone thinks half-breeds unlucky and fearsome. How would you react to finding out that the person sitting next to you were, in fact, half Mary Sue? Exactly.

*shudders*

No wonder those townspeople in the episode with the beelady were so adamant about running her out of town. Get thee gone, Mary Sue, and ne'er darken our door with your oddly-coloured eyes and sparkly wings again.

Even Reload is an argument towards the half-breeds being part Mary Sue -- his hair changes colour!

...and if you read the right fic they change colour when he's angry or happy or sad or...
