Title: Awake
Author: rune*
Words: 200 in words in two parts
He can feel the movement underneath him. A sort of groan, but not quite. More of a sleepy grunt really. He doesn’t move, instead lies even more still. The body shifts and the arm across his shoulders moves, the fingers twitch slightly. Eyes still closed he can hear the breathing of his companion speed up into wakefulness. Mumbled words drift from a mouth he can’t see, and the fight against the smile tugging at the edges of his lips becomes that much harder. Turning his head into the shoulder beneath him he allows the smile, if only a small one.
* * * * *
The body comes awake before the mind. Awareness of skin, then light seeping through closed lids. A weight resting on one half of his body. Hair in this mouth, he turns his head away. Not awake enough to stop the grunt of surprise and pain accompanying the pins and needles shooting up his arm. Sensation returns slowly, the fingers on that hand twitching convulsively as blood flows outward from his heart. Enough to bring his eyes fluttering open, he looks down at the weight causing all of this. His voice is heavy with sleepy fondness, “Yeah, you better be asleep.”

And Gojyo passes the discomfort test.

Date: 2005-02-04 05:48 pm (UTC)Gojyo has decided to stiff-upper-lip it today. Kinda empty in my head right now actually, but he's there and Sanzo and I have been reading the news, which is, you know, interesting.
Always good to know that Sanzo hates Bush at least as much as he hates a lot of other people.
