Periodically I'm reminded of how much I love to take pictures. This morning was another prime example. karotsamused was allowed conventional means of recording her latest performance art piece, and since she said the images were good I thought I'd toss them up here.

I'll leave the actual commentary on the images to Karot.

Did you ever figure out exactly what went wrong? Did it just go 'splodey for no good reason?

I managed to, uh, delete the partition (I don't even know what that is!) and reformat the harddrive.

So, yeah, it's not looking good. I've been assured that reinstalling Windows would fix everything, but I'm still holding out hope of figuring out a way to reclaim at least some of the data I lost.

Aw, dude, that is T3h Crappy. Redoing the windows thing will really eat everything? What about the school helpdesk, or whatever, can't they do anything?

The school tech people will only fix internet problems, not hardware stuff, and sending it off to get it fixed by specialists is too expensive for me to be able to really justify it to myself. At the moment, a friend of mine is going to call a tech guy she knows to see if he'll look at it for me.
