FList question...
Dec. 27th, 2004 02:47 pmAnyone out there know how one would go about copyrighting a name? There are tentative plans for the beginning of a...partnership? Production Company? Random Creative Venture? Between myself and
pvt_tiger (though,
madpinkflamingo may get in on the act too).
What we need now though is to figure out if we can secure our name, in order for the business license. Help? Ideas?

Lemme know if there's anything you want me to do, boss-lady :)

Besides, you have a business major, and I've got a creative degree. Our Flamingo is a designer. What more do we need?

Date: 2004-12-27 04:35 pm (UTC)you'll also have to check your new villain's guide for any other tips or points we've overlooked in our scheming.

Date: 2004-12-27 07:02 pm (UTC)Read this. (http://www.cu.edu/ip/copyright/copyrighting-my-work.html)
Summary: you can do something formally if you want, for safety, but the minute you put it on paper (or online), as long as you've put actual thought and creativity into your own into a creation, it belongs to you unless you've done it under contract/funding/university supervision. But read the thing.
And if you are getting serious about this, I'll re-mention the shirty thoughts I mentioned before. If Our Lady of the Toffee wishes decreased vagueness, she has only to express an interest. (bows)

Date: 2004-12-27 10:59 pm (UTC)For this, I give you a t-shirt (when we've got them) and.. a fic.
The fic, now; whatever you want, any pairing. Okay, not 393, but I know you're a 58 girl...so name me plot!
p.s. yes, shirty thoughts! So far we've got -- well, one of these days we'll coordinate on IM and we'll have crazy idea party. Heh. Also, email = goodness.

Date: 2004-12-27 11:42 pm (UTC)Still, i think the black shirt's gotta happen.

Date: 2004-12-28 10:43 am (UTC)I've also come to the conclusion that I have an unhealthily large crush on Scarlet Johansen. Gah. That girl is Gorgeous. Just. *sighs* Yeah. And talented too! *grinning* See, there's the kind of girl I'm looking for.
Or well. Okay, at least someone who has her same kind of laugh. It's unreasonably cute.

Date: 2004-12-28 01:50 pm (UTC)And the talent doesn't hurt, either. Man, she and Kate Winslet are just so incredibly hot. Definitely my favorites among the incredibly talented set.
P.S. I think we need a t-shirt that just says "Rawr!"

Date: 2004-12-28 03:59 pm (UTC)Hee!
Hold on, must plot evil plots... hmm... if I had a plot hanging around, I'd probably write it...
Well, Hakkai, obviously (is predictable). 58 is both good--Doku could come into it, and he could team up with one of them against the other and it could be baaaad either way. But mindgames! In some form. We like mindgames. Yessss.
Sure, we can coordinate. Or something. I can't stay up late this week (lotsa early shifts), but I'll keep it open when I can. As for shirty ideas--they obviously have nothing to do with your comic, but you can tell me what you're doing, and -vOv-

Date: 2004-12-28 09:11 pm (UTC)*stops cold as Sanzo walks past flashing just a little bit of gun.* Umm...*He smiles, which is just fucking scary* I think maybe, I'll have to write two somethings?
*Everyone looks mostly please except for Hakkai, who, still just looks vaguely worried* *whispered* Dude, I feel ya. We'll just hang out over here. I'll write and hopefully keep the trouble to a minimum.
Night? When you've got that many of the muses looking so "cat who got the cream," pleased at once and Hakkai all fidgety like this? I think you're either a muse yourself of the devil. *ponders* Or maybe a bit of both :-P
Completely unrelated: Shirts are total non sequiturs. Or that's the idea anyway. We've got everything from "When the Revolution comes..." to "chinga tus tortugas!" ("Fuck your turtles!" in Spanish). None of them have anything to do with the comic, though maybe one day. In the mean time? We're just looking for clever and funny. Though, thoroughly ironic statements are our favorites. Especially if there are pictures. Heh.

Date: 2004-12-29 08:26 pm (UTC)You and PT make 3 and with Nightfall, we're at four. One space remains...I would come up with some really grueling test for the last place, but really, anyone who got me coke right now would be in.
