How do you tell someone that you would actually be thrilled to have your closet door open to another world? That, your overriding emotion in that moment would not be "wow" so much as "I knew it!"
Yes. Yes, yes, yes, exactly.
Back in high school (ugh, that's getting to be a long time ago), I had elaborate escape routes planned for the inevitable contingency that the school bus would crash, and the FDT would open and I'd be able to get out. And it didn't matter if the the world on the other side was the "right" one, so much as that it was one. Anywhere other than here.
